John Copeland

I have been fishing the waters of the Sierra Nevada for over 20 years.  For the past 10 years as a guide my fishing has been concentrated on the creeks and rivers in and around the Tahoe Basin.  There is just something special about catching wild Sierra Trout.  90% of all the fishing we do is walk and wade.  In the Sierra, like most good fisheries, the longer your willing to walk the better the fishing usually is.  The East fork of the Carson, the East fork of the Walker and the Truckee River are some of the bigger waters we fish on, while the West fork of the Carson, Little Truckee River and Plesant Valley Creek siut well for those who like the smaller water.  No matter which water you choose to fish, and no two are alike, I will show you some of the techniques that I have had success with for many years.  Whether it is your first time out or a seasoned veteren I will do my best to help you have a day to enjoy and remember.

Both Full and Half day Trips avaliable.

“It was one of those days you hoped would never end. Just you and your buddy, no one else around, and trout on every cast. I don’t know how many fish we caught that day, or even landed, but one thing is for sure……….it will be the day that all successful fishing days are measured against from now on.”
